Details-
Started in 1st january, 2017, the scheme "Grant-in-aid to Gaushalas" by the Directorate of Gopalan, Government of Rajasthan, aims to support cattle welfare through providing financial assistance for fodder and water to registered Gaushalas and Kanjihouses. It benefits eligible institutions maintaining cattle. The assistance is provided for a maximum period of 270 days. An additional 90 days of assistance is provided as a special phase for visually impaired and disabled cattle in Gaushalas, and for male cattle (Nandi) maintained in Nandi Shalas.
Eligibility -
- Beneficiary Category: Eligible registered cow shelters/Kanji house under Nidhi Niyam 2016 in Rajasthan
- Eligibility for the scheme:
- Cow shelter registered for 1 year.
- Maintenance of a minimum of 100 cattle in the cow shelter and running regularly for 1 year.
- Maintenance of 500 male cattle at the district level Nandi Shala.
- Eligible after the maintenance of 250 male cattle after the construction of the Panchayat Samiti Nandi Shala.
- Panchayat Samiti Nandishala should maintain 250 male cattle after construction.

How To Apply?
Registration Process:
Step 1: Visit the official portal of the Directorate of Gopalan. Scroll down and then click on "Online Application
for Gaushala Aid". User will be redirected to the Rajasthan Single Sign On portal: https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the "Register here" tab.
Step 3: Select ‘Jan Aadhaar’ option for registration under the ‘Citizen’ tab.
Step 4: Complete the registration process by entering your Jan Aadhaar Number.
Step 5: After successful registration, you will receive a User ID (SSO ID) and a password. These credentials will allow you to check your application status and apply for the scheme in the future.
Application Process:
Step 1: To apply under the scheme, revisit the official portal of Rajasthan Single Sign On: https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the "Log in to RajSSO" tab.
Step 3: Enter your username (SSO ID), password, and Captcha, then click ‘Login’.
Step 4: Once logged in, update your profile.
Step 5: Click on the "Gopalan" icon, then click on the "Apply Online For New Gaushala Aid" option.
Step 6: Fill in the required information, and upload all necessary documents on the online portal.
Step 7: After entering the information and uploading the documents, make sure to Submit/Save/Print your application form.
